The Demon Slayer light novel is a spin-off of the popular manga and anime series titled "Kimetsu no Yaiba" or "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" in Japanese. It was written by Aya Yajima and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, the same creator of the original manga series.
The light novel is titled "Demon Slayer: Flower of Happiness" and was released in Japan in February 2020. It tells the story of Kanao Tsuyuri, a supporting character in the main series, and how she became a Demon Slayer.
The novel includes new characters, such as Kanae Kocho, the former Insect Hashira, and her twin sister Shinobu Kocho, the current Insect Hashira. It also dives deeper into Kanao's backstory and explores her relationships with her mentor, Shinobu, and fellow Demon Slayers, Tanjiro Kamado and the remaining members of the Hashira.
While there is currently only one light novel in the Demon Slayer franchise, it provides fans with additional insight into the world and characters they love. It has not been confirmed if there will be more novels, but the success of the series suggests that it is a possibility in the future.
